Spoke to an self assessment advisor about 6 weeks ago and made a payment on my account to clear what I owed.

You have now sent me a cheque for that same amount of money and my account now shows I owe that exact same amount of money again.

Who do I speak to now?

Let's hope that after 10 weeks of waiting for answers and no almost 2 hours on hold, just today, I finally get an answer.

It acknowledged that I should have been contacted after 4 weeks but need to wait another 4 weeks before contacting them.

So that will be 8 weeks after requesting repayment.
