@303FAN@BillUhl3 @alebikexson Ah yes a photo from October 2020 https://t.co/wZlYanbMtR these tents were cleaned up by November 2020: https://t.co/8UVVMefyFG
@BevPogreba@ericmbudd You know what landlords would really hate? Building more housing. The only reason they can charge these rents is because there isn't enough housing for student, families, faculty and everyone else who wants to live in Boulder
@fuelbydreams Maybe I don't understand what you are saying buy electric "trams" which to me just seems like light rail but with lower floors is pretty nice.
@dickeyman1@GovofCO Yeah, it should. If you build enough housing to stymie the price increases we've seen every year, your property taxes would follow suit. Alternatively if we don't build more housing your home value continues to skyrocket and your property taxes will too.
@alebikexson As someone who lives in Sloan's and the Northside for over a decade I hope they talk to me. I'll give them an earful of what bullshit this is.
@MarpiyaWicasta @YoJimby@CBSNewsColorado Huh I wonder if anything has happened in the 4 years since that article was posted and the problem was identified. Oh neat, turns out there is a blossoming market to build more green turbine blades and recycle existing ones: https://t.co/UGwZq6zXGo
@TrondKvam@ShabbatSlalom@AllenCowgill@UltimateElixir No idea where you are located but here is a Norwegian bike and a UK bike that both are around $50 and you could get groceries in:

@deliberateless Going over the bridge is a pain. Would recommend either 20th or 15th. 20th is great, a wide path and designated bike way. 15th had a sign saying bikes can use the sidewalk between Delgany and little raven but it's tight and very uncomfortable if anyone is walking.
@cprwarner@DENAirport@Alstom Are these additional or replacement cars? would we expect head ways to remain the same or decrease as part of their implementation?
@alebikexson It reminds me of so much else in life. "No I don't need to change my ways or be inconvenienced in the slightest it's a corporation's fault." Sure impact home prices, but it's likely not much.
@DenBicycleLobby Gotta look on the bright side. When a driver inevitably runs over one of these and drives off without repercussions the next biker or pedestrian gets a free raspberry pi.
@deliberateless I would argue that you knowing only a tiny bit about your life the gas you use isn't going to move the dial much vs going electric. Do what makes you feel best - your advocacy work and showing that going by bike is plausible for families is going to make a bigger difference
@deliberateless@AllenCowgill I've looked into the volvo program before, it's fun to think about: https://t.co/yG8M9H0dpH
I think the only 3rd row car they offer is the XC90 which is a hybrid
@CoachBalto Was thinking about this recently for my box bike. I already have a drill battery mounted under the seat powering a truck horn. I use a product like this: https://t.co/7VrokfRZ4d to get my drill battery down to 12v but planning on wiring a car blanket in
@AllenCowgill As the quote goes: "Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect."
@Colorado_N8tive@NoSquish Yep you caught em being hypocritical. A cyclist using his phone to photo drivers on their phones at red lights. Even if this was true, it trivially easy to find people not at lights on their phone. Also bikes aren't cars. A cyclist on a phone gets killed, a motorist kills someone
@ob_cycler@portofsandiego@BikeSD@CirculateSD@sdbikecoalition@ride_sd I really want to get legislation passed that makes it illegal for bike lanes to disappear in the middle of an intersection. IMHO this is more dangerous than not having a bike lane at all. It's a bait and switch that's gonna kill people
