He was saying he wished it wasn't someone from his state of Utah.

He said nothing and implied nothing about muslims or migrants.

Spencer Cox was born in Utah in 1975.
He grew up in Utah.
He married his high-school sweetheart in Utah.
He went to Utah State University.
He then worked as a law clerk and in private practice as a lawyer in Utah.
Cox was elected as a city councilor of Fairview, Utah in 2004 and mayor the next year.
In 2013 he became the Lieutenant governor of Utah.
In 2020 he became the governor of Utah.

He is a good man who has great pride in the state he was born and lived his whole life.

It broke his heart that the murderer was "one of us" meaning from his state that he loves.

This libelous attempt to paint him as some kind of racist by faking a quote he never said for social media engagement is shameful.

You are exactly what is wrong with this country.
