In response to this thread, I recommend "Slow Productivity" by Cal Newport. In academia, most of our busyness is mere pseudoproducivity, and we've lost the bigger picture. He suggests to 1. do fewer things 2. work at a natural pace 3. obsess over quality. few points to ponder!
