This was Yoshihiro Hattori - he was a foreign exchange student in Louisiana. A small, Asian kid who went to the wrong house for a Halloween party and was killed by a 6’2 white guy just for knocking on the door. Not only that, but whitey and his wife tried to get the neighbors to not dial 911 and let the kid die.

The police wasn’t going to arrest the white guy and it took the Feds AND the Japanese government to get involved and they charged whitey with Manslaughter. The jury found him NOT Guilty of Manslaughter and let the whitey walk.
