@SBoyd10365594@thinkdefence A Leatherman has a locking blade so even though it’s under 3" it’s an offense to carry one in the UK without a good reason that you can defend in court.
@jessicaelgot@MarinaHyde They’re hand made leather lined briefcases from a single supplier. You can get a “red box” from any number of places but if you want an actual UK dispatch box then you’re going to have to get in the queue along with everyone else: https://t.co/Ay0mmrm1VZ
Why is this surprising?
@dwlz If you’re worried about IPOs having a negative effect on your investments, then you could switch your SPY / VOO to the Dimensional or Avantis ETFs that don’t slavishly follow the indices & delay buying into IPOs & index entrants. Don’t switch just because of SpaceX though.
@JennyAThatcher Are you aware that "Making" in UK law includes copying or receiving an illegal image? If you get sent such an image, even unsolicited, then you are guilty of this crime.
Edwards did very dubious things, but he didn't create or request those worst images: https://t.co/GDcHlaYie2
@BenZaranko 4) The ONS doesn’t subscribe to Martin Lewis for some reason & believes the prices advertised on the mainstream mobile vendor’s websites are the actual prices most people pay.
@LoftusSteve@DanNeidle It’s just standard Business Rates being applied to pubs Steve. You can argue whether or not the government should tax business premises like this, but it’s hardly a new thing.
@SterlingReece26@wartranslated Ukraine didn’t have an aircraft capable of launching Meteor before they acquired the Gripen. It’s currently only integrated into European aircraft, with the F35 “in development” IIRC.
@PaulWri89662714@CitizenUddin@Brakes_Food You can park on double yellows to load or unload, so long as there’s no sign that says No Waiting (which there doesn’t seem to be on Google Streetview). Plenty of room just a single vehicle length forwards or backwards.
@SyntaxError2505@CryptoCyberia I really like Laurie’s content, I just can’t get past her voice :-( (Which is a me problem, not a her problem obviously)
@rorysutherland The rules were written under the assumption that solar heating is the major problem & it can mostly be solved by ventilation. When outside temperature is 35+°C this breaks down completely.
Aircon is going to be a universal necessity to cope with future heatwaves.
@cha0s10g1c NB. Actually hot countries like Spain seem to have AC everywhere these days. It’s the more northerly parts that are now getting hotter summers that mostly don’t have AC.
@cha0s10g1c Historically no, due to AC being regarded as a moral failing. Historically this was maybe justifiable if you were concerned about CO2 emissions above all else, but now that most of the EU / UK grid has decarbonised (except for the Germans) it’s just spectacularly dumb.
