@EquinoxOLI@jwestonlib I can imagine a future where everything we do is for fun because artificial brains and muscles do everything we need. Might not happen, but I can imagine it. Ultimately, Humans Need Not Apply #ChatOpenS
@EquinoxOLI I know my wife is not a fan of me cluttering up her Kindle feed with all these Book Barbarian freebies I get :D a different kind of scalability problem
@EquinoxOLI Q2; comparisons to Google/Amazon, mmm. Amazon might be more easily comparable to an ILS given the more limited "inventory" that you expect to search, but even then... I like the initial minimalism of Google and dislike the clutter of Amazon #ChatOpenS
@EquinoxOLI Hiya; Jason Etheridge, Koha & Evergreen projects... and a _guilty_ pleasure movie? I'm shameless here. Maybe Charlie's Angels? Resident Evil? #ChatOpenS
@EquinoxOLI@jwestonlib Me too. I do like the electronic artifacts left behind from a virtual conference, but miss occasionally getting cornered or cornering people in turn for random shop talk #ChatOpenS
@EquinoxOLI A5: probably not a universal answer, even if restricted just to me, but I like learning by doing. Having some sort of project to complete, whether it be a simple video game or a data migration tool, can spur learning for me. #ChatOpenS
@EquinoxOLI A4: while my routines have not changed much, there has been an emotional toll with the pandemic, and everything gets more difficult, including the fun stuff #ChatOpenS
@EquinoxOLI A3: I attended the one for Evergreen and will attend the one for Koha. I like presentations online, but do miss the face to face with people outside of sessions. We'll be trying something less formal and more collaborative with Hack-a-way; not sure if that counts #ChatOpenS
@EquinoxOLI A1: I'm with Rogan; I'm a hermit usually and enjoy learning. But I'm happy if other folks can find silver linings with the pandemic. #ChatOpenS
