@Chase in this information age, transparency and communication are key. You've failed on both, there are many customers who rely on your services, and whether the issue is you, or something else your silence is problematic
@SteveOnSpeed I had a stroke last December at 47. Have spent a lot of time recovering this year. I'm back at work, and end meetings with a reminder that our health is more important than anything we do at work.
As I work to recover all that I lost in an instant when I suffered a stroke, I am learning that recovery looks more like the journey and less a destination.
I've traveled so far down this path, I thought I may arrive at done but I see the road goes on.
It's easy to have hope when you don't need it. It's hard to find hope when you really need it.
When I needed it most, it seemed elusive. But I stayed open to the idea. I couldn't find it but eventually it found me. Don't give up, it can get real dark right before the sun rises
When I lost all control of my right side to a stroke I didn't know if I could recover anything it took from me. I wanted a full recovery, but what do I know, I'm an IT guy.
I had to decide each day I would succeed- I had to win the mental battle to make room for the work to work
@SteveOnSpeed Your health is priceless.
I had a stroke in December at 47. It sucks. I've recovered a lot but if my time machine got fixed, I'd go back and prioritize some health things.
Let me be your tribute here, don't have a stroke. 0 out of 10, I don't recommend a stroke
Do you know the risk factors for a stroke? Do you know how they correlate to your health today?
While you can't prevent 100% of all risk, many people can take steps to reduce a lot of them.
Talk to your Dr, make a plan, & take action.
@theoliveranwar Don't get drunk. Haven't had a hangover since spring break when I was a freshman and drank way too much. I've never regretted not repeating that night.
Don't lose the battle before it starts.
Henry Ford said "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right."
Don't give up before it ever starts. A stroke paralyzed me, I had to win the battle mentally before recovery ever started.
Your health is your most valuable asset. Invest in it, guard it, prioritize it.
There are no guarantees in life, all the money in the world can't promise your next breath. Luck favors the prepared, do what you can to tip the scales in your favor
@TamaraLBennett1@mhp_guy@AJA_Cortes Personal attacks because the truth is LDS is a cult, nice attempt to distract from the truth.
Speaking truth, even when it is difficult is not inconsistent with humility or justice. In matters of the soul I'd say they are aligned.
