@rfleury@amfetamigo@StarTether It's not a poll loop? Could you briefly explain how it works please? I tried to read the win32 implementation but couldn't really make sense of it. You seem to push the request data to something called a guarded ring. Do you then loop through it to process requests?
@Jonathan_Blow@Ridley100@musmuscen@FakePsyho a way to ensure that people understand this could be to remove the option to hold a key down to move and to remove the sprint option as well. I find myself typing in the inputs to reach a tile as fast as i can instead of waiting for the character to move, feels good.
@Jonathan_Blow@Ridley100@musmuscen@FakePsyho I'm a bit surprised some people aren't liking the movement. Combined with the animation, it does feel odd but in a good way. I think if you treat it like moving pieces on a chess board, as opposed to moving a character in a third person game, it feels intuitive and snappy.
@y_a_g_i_199999 Tutorials at the start, now mostly docs and random places. Learn the basics from anywhere, then try to create something yourself. Try and try until you fail and then (and only then), look up how people have done what you were trying to do. Rinse and repeat.
