@EmerySonger@stevestone That would be so cool. Especially if they could also bring back some of the commercials. I loved seeing Where's the Beef and Time to Make the Donuts!
@stevestone It was such a great time Steve! Loved hearing your stories about Dick Allen, the start of Ripken's streak, memories of Britt Burns etc. As someone who learned baseball watching you & Harry on Ch9 in the 80's and also watching Bob over the years it was great to relive those times
@TRic36386691@Ecnerwal23 People will tailgate and still spend time in the area before and after the concert. Come on man, none of this can be a foreign concept to you, right??
@TRic36386691@Ecnerwal23 No I disagree with your entire premise that the stadium only has pull because of the NFL and not because it is a great location on the lake in a wonderful downtown as opposed to a dilapidated, depressing, awful smelling industrial area like NW Indiana.
@TRic36386691@Ecnerwal23 Yeah I'm sure Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Metallica fans packed Soldier Field for multiple nights because they're all big fans of Desmond Clark and Dick Jauron. Being on the lake, centrally located in a beautiful setting had nothing to do with it 😅
@TRic36386691@Ecnerwal23 False. Soldier Field's main draw is being on the lake in one of the premier downtown areas of the world. Open air, beautiful on summer nights. Hammond will be a dome in a dump that smells like sulfur and an oil refinery.
@TRic36386691@Ecnerwal23 Agree except for the last point about other events. Soldier Field will continue to be a destination for big concerts and will add more in late summer and fall because of this.
@uniformcritic A fun fact about this is that while Brian Harper did hit .300 4 times in his career, this season was not one of them. Slumped after this and finished at .294
