@PulpLibrarian Absolutely- i saw them during 1979 itv strike in Plymouths Hoe Theatre. My poor Mum never recovered and it explains a lot about my life in 20s ๐๐
Its amazing to think the hottest day I could recall in SW was 32c back 1st August 1990, and that was extreme heatwave for 3 days. Even 1995 wasnt as hot (but longer with high 20s).
Yet today we've got this. Crazy how weather has changed in my lifetime.
Well, Chair speech done for tonight presentation. Under orders to keep it short- hope to finish it before closing time ๐๐๐
One little surprise at the end which isnt a surprise really. ๐ซก
@devondfl@ClubnetsUK@swsportsnews Driven past Winkleighs ground many times for work and always thought it was nice set up. Nice to hear this news- worth a visit next season.
Did I fall asleep in May and its now early July and I can sign on players again? Or have the rules changed?
The old season isnt even finished remember!
If you were born at Freedom Fields and you do the quiz closest club to where you were born- your nearest football team isnt @PlymouthPFC. It's @Plymstockutd. By 0.4 miles.
If your really old - it's either @Ivytownfc (Flete) or @torpointafc (RAH Devonport).
Funny how there is FA tailored help for
Players (correct)
Referees (also very correct)
But volunteers? Heres a list of organisations- get on with it folks.
And they wonder why the drop off is growing and you can't get replacements even if you could handover.
We struggle too!
So yesterday discovered we as club have overpaid fines to county FA to the tune of nearly ยฃ700 since Nov. This includes Sine Die/individual ban threats x7 since Nov by the "Bot".
Today I've had 2 more emails saying we owe more fine monies and threats of sine die bans again ๐
If volunteers are so important to the running of non league football...
Why are we treated like a piece of ๐ฉ
Do this, do that, explain this, the system tells us you're in the wrong. Threat threat fine fine threat.
Clearly our mental health doesnt count. Its exhausting.
