The top trainees of the #ICTSkills4Youth program in Kapchorwa were honored for their outstanding achievements. Over 100 young people received certificates after completing the intensive five-day training.
This group mastered key digital skills such as social media management, content creation, video, photo, and audio editing, graphic design, and AI tool usage.
We also proudly supported a hearing-impaired participant by providing an interpreter, ensuring an inclusive and memorable learning experience.
The #ICTSkills4Youth initiative, in collaboration with @UCC_Official, UCUSAF, and @PrimeTimeComms, is empowering more than 500 youth across Kapchorwa, Kumi, Manafwa, Butaleja, and Kamuli with essential digital skills to boost their employability and open doors in the digital economy.

Outstanding trainees of the #ICTSkills4Youth program in @GovtKumi were recognized and awarded for their exceptional performance. Okalebo Daniel emerged in first place, followed by Acom Hellen Christine in second place, and Oenen Samuel in third place.
These outstanding youth were part of the cohort that successfully completed the five-day training, where they were introduced to various social media platforms and equipped with essential digital skills, including content creation, video, photo and audio editing, graphic design, and the use of AI tools.

Through this phase, we are equipping over 500 young people across Kapchorwa, Kumi, Manafwa, Butaleja, and Kamuli with vital digital skills that enhance their employability and unlock new opportunities in today’s digital economy.
Mr. Mubito John Bosco, the RDC of @GovtKumi, delivered the official opening remarks during the #ICTSkills4Youth training held at the Kumi District Chambers.
In his address, he encouraged the youth to apply the knowledge and digital skills gained to improve their businesses, strengthen their communities, and contribute meaningfully to the development of the country.
He emphasized that embracing digital opportunities is key to unlocking economic growth and creating a brighter future for the next generation.

This afternoon, the youth are diving into hands-on sessions on creating multimedia content using their smartphones. Today’s training focuses on audio recording, editing, and publishing equipping participants with practical digital skills they can immediately put to use.
This is part of the #ICTSkills4Youth program, delivered in partnership with @UCC_Official , UCUSAF and @PrimeTimeComms. In this phase alone, we are empowering more than 500 young people across Kapchorwa, Kumi, Manafwa, Butaleja, and Kamuli districts with essential digital competencies to enhance their employability and opportunities.
