numbers are great, agreed. he does still have what feels like a high % of non-competitive/bad approach ABs. same deal with stanton (not this year). just gotta take the good with the bad.
This is very clearly the 2nd best 2B in the game and there are still Yankees fans who complain about his “inconsistencies”. What if we tried appreciating a player for once
@RyanGarciaESM just doesn’t pass the eye test with his at bats. gets too many polarizing online takes but he has a lot of at bats where he is just completely swimming.
@Chris_NYY28 not sure i can get to “universal praise” on wells. he has completely unwatchable at bats sometimes.
do agree that prospect hype matters though.
Everytime I hear the Yankee broadcasting teams even remotely discussing the slight possibility of Hicks getting another shot, I genuinely want to plunge my head through dry wall. I cannot listen to the justifications of this guy anymore. Can't do it.
@davidrifkin spot on - agreed on all points.
yankees have next to no trade leverage on hicks is the obvious issue. was hard to imagine a dfa early on, now not so sure. what else can you do at this point?
Congrats to our client, @ClimateArena, for hosting history! Not only did the @usahockey Women’s National Team add to their #RivalrySeries lead vs. Canada on your ice, but they did it in front of 14,551 fans in your seats - the most in U.S. Women's National Team home game history.
