I'm working to improve my coaching skills. Listened to "The Coaching Habit" on Audible this weekend. A good intro with some handy tips. I think I can go deeper into the subject though - any recommendations?
Aw Tony. What a life, 96 years and a lot of joy shared. I got into him in my late teens after the Rat Pack revival and the legend that he was "Frank Sinatra's favourite singer".
@willmcgugan I went on to discuss it with a colleague and now appreciate its a very graceful way of doing this, once you are familiar. My 'old fashioned' approach would have required setting the initial variable before the loop, then resetting each loop so this is more efficient for sure.
@willmcgugan I confess I've never used it. The thing that was counter intuitive to me from this example is that at first I didn't grok (from code only) that it is trying not to match existing. An extra line within the loop explicitly regenerating the route_key might have stood out more ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Everyone alright over here? Yesterday was fun on Threads. It's worth a go. I need a chronological timeline of my follows before I can take it seriously but they've confirmed it's being worked on.
What I like most about @ewebber's Team Onion is the approach of Core members / Collaborators/ Supporters can apply pretty much universally, no matter what the org structure is. No team is an island.

@monkchips Really good James. I take a lot from this for non-dev roles as well. Systems and infra should be enabling and not something that you have to purposefully navigate.
@clotti@Armo@aden_76 Foos were great this afternoon. Not my cup of tea but Carly Rae Jepson seemed to be keeping a lot of people happy on the Other stage earlier, she won me over at least.
Worth some minutes of your time. "All major actors are currently US-based, and Europe has yet to see the appearance of a serious contender. This is a major geopolitical issue..." https://t.co/0zn65RvfHU
