@BigBadDenis And you know the worst bit is that the media is touting @Mark_Butler_MP as a potential future leader! Dropped the ball on COVID, pushing around 160,000 disabled Australians off the NDIS, screwed over older Australians - and apparently still worthy of leading of the Labor party!
Australians have recently been able to access Nuvaxovid(Novavax) through the SAS.
We've launched an Expression of Interest for those seeking access, doctors willing to consider prescribing, & pharmacists willing to administer if supply becomes available.

@1goodtern In Australia, not only is that sort of data rarely made accessible to the public, you often can’t even tell whether anyone in the health system is even collecting it at all, let alone analysing it.
“Is there any scenario or situation where someone could produce a droplet without also generating significant amounts of aerosols?”
Professor Clive Beggs - IPC Expert: “No”
@_CatintheHat This is how so many of the Covid Cautious got here many years ago now - the official story just didn’t make sense, it was obvious that it was airborne and that washing hands wouldn’t stop you breathing it in. And we all know how that went…
@1goodtern The drought primes the landscape; the lightning strike determines where the fire starts. Then we have to hope that local controls can put it out before it gets too big.
@emmma_camp_ Genuine question: Are you going to investigate all the comments noting the implications of COVID infection in children and the ongoing risks from repeat infections, or dismiss them as conspiracy theories without looking at the science?
@VALUBULL28@karamballes The fact it was airborne has to have been one of the main drivers - this meant significant disruption to the economy, big costs to mitigate, and risk to power / disruption to the status quo. Plus it was easy to sow doubt given novelty of the threat. We were expendable.
@dmcahill@DavidJoffe64@saltytoast8@Globalbiosec Same. Can’t find a doc or pharmacy who will do it. They say it’s against ATAGI advice unless child immunocompromised. And it might be considering the wording in the AIH.
I've been debating posting this all day, but here goes. It's ironic that #LongCovidAwarenessDay falls on Mother's Day this year. #LongCovid has likely taken away any chance of me having a child. Thinking of anyone grieving that today, I see you 🫶
Tomorrow is Long COVID Awareness Day.
Long COVID is affecting millions, but too often it remains unseen and unspoken.
Help make the invisible visible.
How will you mark the day?

@DaveSharma How about we let the police conclude their investigations, outline their assessment of the issues at hand and then, if there is some allegation that policy was a factor, we consider the terms of what a RC might need to consider and how regulation could have prevented this tragedy
