"I refuse to negotiate with [the Myanmar military junta] because I know what they're capable of. Behind the red carpets and bloodied hands that the world powers, world leaders, and corporations are shaking or planning to shake, there are daily bloody airstrikes on civilians."
At a #HRC63 side event on #Myanmar, artist and advocate Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein delivered a powerful message to governments: 𝐃𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚.
Performing her song “Close the Sky,” Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein also gave voice to communities living under the threat of military airstrikes and called on those with power and influence to stand unequivocally with the people of Myanmar.
Governments should not normalize, recognize, or provide legitimacy to a military junta responsible for widespread atrocities

to the Public Campaign to Support Myanmar’s Ambassador, U Kyaw Moe Tun, in continuing to represent the people of Myanmar at the United Nations.
At this critical moment, we must stand together to protect the voice of the people of Myanmar at the UN. We cannot allow the military junta to take over this seat and use the United Nations to spread propaganda, misrepresent the truth, and whitewash its crimes.
Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun has continued to speak for the people of Myanmar and to represent their aspirations for federal democracy, freedom, and justice. His continued representation matters because the people of Myanmar deserve to have their true voice heard on the world stage.
Our Ambassador. Our Voice.
Together, we can support efforts to prevent the military junta from taking over this position at the United Nations. Every voice matters, and every expression of support helps demonstrate that the people of Myanmar have not given up their struggle for democracy and justice.

COMPARED: Julián Alvarez vs. Viktor Gyökeres vs. Kai Havertz per 90 in the league last season. 🕶️
Reports suggest Atlético are willing to sell him to Arsenal, NOT Barcelona. 👀
@WelBeast Arsenal fans should create an online petition. Or it will be interesting which Arsenal fans like Alvarez. I’m against him. Leave him! We have Viktor, better than Alvarez.

A few days before the military coup that ousted her government in 2021, Aung San Suu Kyi phoned her son to warn him subtly that trouble was brewing. It was the last time Kim Aris heard his mother’s voice.
Since the the conclusion of a show trial in 2022, Ms Suu Kyi has all but disappeared
No one knows where or how the 81-year-old is. So her publicity shy, half-British son has stepped into an uneasy limelight with a simple demand to Myanmar's military’s top brass: prove my mother is not dead ⤵️
