Reps. Don Davis (D-NC), Jared Golden (D-ME), Adam Gray (D-CA), Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX) and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA) are the traitor Democrats who voted to authorize NDAA despite the war and merging our military technology with Israel. Obviously, they should all be defeated.
Unfortunately the Rule passed just now and no debate or vote was allowed on section 219, integration of US military technology and supply chains with Israel’s.
The NDAA will receive a recorded vote tomorrow with section 219 in it. I’ll vote no.
The House is scheduled to vote this week on a National Defense Authorization that would integrate our military tech & supply chains with Israel’s.
Today, the Rules Committee will decide whether my amendment to strip section 219 will get a vote.
RT to support the Massie amdt.!
I am Iranian and I wish these poor kids were still alive. I wish I could sit down with them, have a coffee and a conversation about their lives and their dreams.
I am sorry they had to die so that Benjamin Netanyahu avoids going to prison. I am sorry they had to die for AIPAC. I am sorry they had to die for Jeffrey Epstein. I am sorry they had to die for the depravity and stupidity of your politicians.
These poor kids were murdered by the same monsters that are still busy murdering children from Gaza to Minab.
Trump says Democrats forgot to rig the election in 2016, successfully rigged it while *he* was president in 2020, then forgot how to rig it again in 2024. So the only election Democrats supposedly stole was the one he himself controlled.
You have to be a special kind of stupid to believe this bullshit.
Donald Trump will one day leave office. The servicemembers who carry out his unlawful orders may not be so fortunate. They could spend the rest of their lives facing not only the prospect of international justice but, should a decent government one day return to Washington, the judgment of their own domestic courts.
Today, the United States is directing military strikes against bridges and other civilian infrastructure in Iran while openly threatening to expand the campaign to the country’s power plants. By Donald Trump’s own account, this is not a campaign designed to achieve a legitimate military objective. Its purpose is political coercion: to inflict pain on a population until its government submits to Washington’s demands and comes to the negotiating table on American terms.
This is not legitimate warfare. It is the deliberate use of force against civilian life and infrastructure to compel political concessions, which constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law and a war crime.
Civilian objects are not bargaining chips. A military operation of this nature cannot be laundered into legality by invoking self-defense. The right of self-defense is not a license to wage war for political submission.
And responsibility does not end with the president who gives the order. It follows the chain of command.
Every servicemember who knowingly carries out a manifestly unlawful order may bear individual criminal responsibility. “I was only following orders” is no defense to international crimes. This principle was established at Nuremberg and is embedded in modern international criminal law.
Nor does it provide a shield under American law. The Uniform Code of Military Justice requires obedience only to lawful orders. In United States v. Calley, arising from the My Lai massacre, a U.S. military court likewise rejected obedience as a defense where a person of ordinary sense and understanding would recognize an order as unlawful.
Those who execute such orders should understand the consequences. Political leaders leave office. Governments change. Alliances shift. The legal consequences of war crimes do not disappear when the person who ordered them leaves the White House.
For perpetrators of grave international crimes, there is no statute of limitations. Where national authorities are unwilling or unable genuinely to prosecute, universal jurisdiction exists precisely to ensure that the passage of time, political protection, or a change of government cannot guarantee impunity.
Heed this warning: Those who carry out unlawful orders may spend the rest of their lives facing the consequences.
