"This franchise has helped me make friends that I never would have met, and got me through really tough times in my life," one petition signer says.

More than 400,000 people have signed a petition urging Sony and Bungie to develop Destiny 3 after Bungie ended active development of Destiny 2 with its final major update in June and shifted its focus to Marathon.

The petition, launched by @LUCKYY10P, argues that after more than a decade of the Destiny franchise, players deserve a true sequel that will "keep the fire of the Guardian spirit alive."

@AmericaFirstAFK @reigliss @PaulTassi @Asmongold @Bungie Destiny’s failure led to this, and nothing “woke” had anything to do with that failure. Just simple bad decisions from mgmt and forcing a rewrite. Sony is also to blame since they’ve denied D3 proposals since they bought them.
