Germany's self-inflicted green disaster:

1. Germany's Green Party government admits wind and solar will never power the grid by themselves.

2. Natural gas or gas-derived hydrogen will be required when wind/solar fail.

3. Gas/hydrogen plants will require significant taxpayer subsidies for their back-up role.
