ISRAELI DOCTOR FLIES 4,000KM TO RWANDA TO HELP FORMER TRAINEE SAVE 11-DAY-OLD BABY’S HEART
In a race against time, an Israeli pediatric heart specialist crossed more than 4,000 kilometers to Rwanda to help save the life of an 11-day-old baby — but the biggest story was not the journey, it was what happened in Kigali.
Dr. Sagi Assa, head of Interventional Pediatric Cardiology at Wolfson Medical Center located in Tel-Aviv, rushed to Rwanda after a call from Dr. Gerard Misago, a Rwandan cardiologist he had trained in Israel. The newborn, Angel, was suffering from critical pulmonary valve stenosis, a rare heart defect that severely blocked blood flow and threatened his life.
At King Faisal Hospital in Kigali, Dr. Misago led a highly complex balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty, supported by Dr. Assa and Rwandan cardiac anesthesiologist Dr. Christine Niyibogora, both working together to perform a procedure previously requiring international referral.
Using a catheter through blood vessels only millimeters wide, the team successfully opened the baby’s narrowed heart valve. Within hours, Angel was stabilized, removed from ventilation, and reunited with his mother.
Dr. Assa returned to Israel less than 30 hours after leaving, but he described the mission as more than a rescue operation — it was proof that Rwanda’s medical teams now have the skills to independently handle advanced pediatric heart cases.
The operation marked a turning point: children born with complex heart conditions may no longer need to leave Rwanda for lifesaving treatment. It was a moment where international partnership became local capability. #FactsOnRwanda

RWANDA-BOUND FIRST PETROLEUM CARGO REACHES TANZANIA'S TANGA PORT UNDER NEW ENERGY SECURITY PLAN
Rwanda's first government-backed fuel shipment has arrived at Tanzania's Port of Tanga, marking the launch of a new energy security strategy. The vessel carries 40,000 metric tonnes of petroleum under the recent announced RNEC–Gulf Bulk Petroleum deal.
Together with a second government-to-government corridor through Kenya's Port of Mombasa, the new system diversifies supply routes, strengthens resilience against global fuel shocks, and could help stabilize domestic fuel prices in the coming weeks. #FactsOnRwanda
Dear @US_SrAdvisorAF@StateDeptSpox,
I am sorry to tell you this, but for the first time in years, the Banyamulenge of Minembwe, South Kivu, DRC, can now access markets. Prices have dropped by 95%. 🥰
This comes after the defeat of the genocidaire FDLR, the Burundian army, Wazalendo militias, and Kinshasa regime soldiers in the area, who had imposed a blockade on the region for years.
Recently, you sanctioned the man who made this possible, Gen. Sematama.
But no amount of sanctions or support for the oppressive Kinshasa regime will defeat people fighting for their survival.
One more thing you probably ignore: these people are more valuable than the dust and rocks you are looking for in our country.
Thank you, AFC-M23 and TWIRWANEHO. 🫡
Over 12,000 youth from Goma, Bukavu, & Nyundo-Byumba (Rwanda) just concluded the 15th Regional Youth Forum for Peace, led by Bishop Willy Ngumbi, alongside Corneille Nangaa, Provincial authorities, and military (Gen. Boduin).
For the first time in years, a Bishop can freely visit dioceses across Masisi & Rutshuru, a direct result of the peace & stability established by the AFC. Real, unprecedented change is happening in DRC.
The passout of yet another batch of liberators is complete, ready to silence any threat, anywhere.
Clochards always harbor delusional dreams of regaining what they lost when they were stronger. But today? Not only are they weaker, they can’t even afford to pay the mercenaries they hired, since the beginning of this war of survival. The only left mercenary @GeneralNeva will soon have to snap out of this hate-fueled ego trip and come to his senses. He’ll wake up one morning and pull his troops out, because the boss they’re fighting for simply doesn't pay, and his men are being multiplied by zero.
Our men and women are trained to respect human rights, restore peace, and protect citizens and their property. Above all, their mission is to find and silence the sound of any gun pointed at our people anywhere.
they may not match the enemy in sheer firepower, but their willpower far surpasses enemy's. And in the end? The enemy's firepower becomes theirs.

This evening in Kigali, President Kagame met with Bill Gates, Founder and Chair of the Gates Foundation. They discussed strengthening the Foundation’s longstanding partnership with Rwanda, including accelerating collaboration in health, agricultural transformation, AI, and digital public infrastructure to advance Rwanda’s development priorities.
Today, we welcomed Mr. @BillGates to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where he paid his respects to the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi with a wreath-laying at the burial place.
The President of the Republic of Rwanda @UrugwiroVillage is right on #Minembwe.
The silence and inaction of the International community is parallel to that of 1994 genocide against in Rwanda. The Congolese and Burundian government actions should be condemned by all.
Since 2017: Banyamulenge communities in South Kivu have faced repeated attacks, including killings, village burnings, cattle looting, and mass displacement.
1. UN Findings (2019–2020):
171 documented human rights violations in the Hauts Plateaux.
2. 38% of victims were Banyamulenge.
15% of violations were committed by FARDC (Congolese army).
3. Hate Speech: UN reports documented persistent incitement portraying Banyamulenge as “foreigners” or “Rwandans,” fueling ethnic violence.
4. Government-backed Militias: Human Rights Watch (2025) found that the Congolese government continued supplying Wazalendo militias despite their documented abuses against Banyamulenge civilians.
5. In 2026 to date: FARDC, allied militias, and Burundian forces encircled Minembwe, while drone strikes, blocked humanitarian aid, and attacks on civilians worsened the humanitarian crisis.
As a fierce leader who stopped the genocide against the Tutsis in Rwanda, he’s absolutely right to speak out against these atrocities. Don’t stop Mr. President.
