If Hinduism is truly inclusive and affirms that there are many ways to God, then Hindus should have no problem if Usha Vance makes her own decision and converts to Christianity. I’m not saying she will, I’m merely saying that it makes no sense for Hindus to object. Am I wrong?
@teasri On an average, may be. On an individual basis I still see people earning north of a quarter million dollars cheating on petty things such as setting the carpool tag to 3 people though there is only one person in the car in order to avoid a few dollars of toll.
@caytlyn_brooke I am here consoling my teenage daughter who’s not doing well in an extremely hard crossfit competition. Life is hard, disappointments galore, yet we must find the courage to stand up and walk again. Your smile tells me that you are already doing that. Best wishes.
When Indians work with their international colleagues in global companies, it’s invariably the Indians accommodating late night meeting calls.
Never the international colleagues.
No judgment. Only observation.
@shrikanth_krish Incorrect to include Gen X in that category. Perhaps the transition is not so clean from millennials but started somewhere within Gen-X itself.
Used #Gemini 2.5 pro for an audio transcription project. The audio contains content in English and Sanskrit and the prompt was to identify the language and use Devanagari script for Sanskrit words. Fantastic and accurate transcriptions. Kudos @Google
Social media amplifies negativity and engineered toxicity. Problems exist, so do happy marriages.
As a society we must have a conversation on where we are going. Gender wars, misuse of law, skewed policies and consumption patterns contribute to the growing disaffection between men and women. Obsession with individuality abets atomisation and isolation.
The only way to counter this is to advocate for a world that gives importance to a duty-based order.
Marriage is a beautiful institution and it does not demand anything that two people are not capable of practicing (except in cases of abuse). However, disparaging the ideal, because it does not suit the individual will only cause a further breakdown in such a social system.
The dharmic way is to make an effort to measure up to the ideal; to nurture and protect it.
I have observed this in the US as well. Indian kids are a lot taller. Many are over 6ft. In addition to nutrition, hygiene (absence of intestinal worms during growth phase etc) contributes a lot.
First gen Indians born in UK are taller than the natives.
Even in Singapore, Indians (mostly South Indians) are taller on average compared to their Chinese and Malay counterparts.
This underscores a significant point: with improved living conditions, quality nutrition, and a focus on health, Indians can fully realize their genetic potential for growth and development.
Centuries of famine during the colonial era and widespread poverty hindered growth. However, human genes remember this information and can rebound once supported by adequate resources and care.
So eat more protein and dairy pls
