@thekage75@Guaxininsmo Take a deep breath, because we’re about to spill the tea ☕️ Affinity is coming to Linux, it’s in active development, but we’ve got no ETA to spill just yet.
WTH: Sam Altman complaining that individuals (like me!) are purchasing RAM for our PCs wanting to run local inference (and do other stuff), because it gets in the way of him buying more RAM to sell inference at 80% margins… this is barking up the wrong tree
"We're in humanity's golden age." I'll likely be fine whatever happens. But watching my kids grow up next to a war and with a society that doesn't know how to finance itself, let alone work with AI, I sometimes struggle to see the gold. https://t.co/G5vEwJH4hM

Itupun sdh dikorupsi.
Oh FFS. Thank you for your concern Sam, but don’t spread your FUD and doom bait in my waters.
I lead one of the most utilized Linux operating systems in the world for data centers and enterprises, and I founded its predecessor too.
While AI is surely accelerating finding human created security issues, it is a temporary problem, and most open source project leads have already figured out how to also use AI to reduce new bugs moving forward.
Here is a graph from GKH (who maintains the stable kernel) on how many CVEs they are remediating per release:

This graph describes how much better each release is now getting:

This doom based marketing approach that the AI labs are pushing is really short sighted. While this will of course drive business to us, I find it unethical to lie and use scare tactics in messaging.
The greater truth is that AI is making the software industry more secure, by identifying the human errors in code, and soon we will end up in a much better place.
Finding it very educational and interesting to learn about the hardware layer of GPUs: how they are structured, the obvious advantages and disadvantages bs CPUs.
This is from Modal’s excellent “GPU Glossary” print book @can gave me (the PDF is free here: https://t.co/ltzxXm1GSi)
We are underestimating the bad faith eMudhra possibly operated in. They actively added a step to the key generation process causing this failure but are making it seem like a dumb mistake. Let me explain with diagrams and python snippets 👇
This was written about current day German economic policies a couple of months ago. The same dynamics are playing out now in France and Spain.
Macron doubled military spending and cut education.
This book is pure gold (anti-fascist economics)

PHP sites behind Cloudflare already have an initial set of WAF rules deployed for the known exploit vectors in these vulnerabilities. The rules are available to all customers, including free.
We are seeing early attacks emerging and are updating mitigations as new vectors show up.
This is a STOPGAP only. Patch as soon as @ThePHPF releases the update at 14:00 UTC today.

We have released a free open source tool 'Zero Breach' - that can identify whether a recent Israeli spyware campaign left traces on your PC - the one Citizen Lab exposed, where Israeli ad-tech was used to infect journalists through 'no-click' ordinary ads.
It needs Python installed (https://t.co/OKRYSzY8HY — tick "Add python.exe to PATH" during setup). Then open PowerShell in the folder where you saved it and run:
python -X utf8 https://t.co/aQgrb7JLYO
It takes about 15 minutes. It only reads - it changes nothing, needs no admin, and never connects to the internet. It checks for 338 indicators and tells you if one of your browsers interacted with one of the infected ads in the past. (It also checks for Candiru infection)
Download it here: https://t.co/4AwSOYZtvd
You can also check whether your browser or device already blocks these kinds of ads, without downloading anything, here:
https://t.co/fIfmSlNlFb
You are looking for a green result ✅ - if not, fix your browser settings, install an ad blocker / DNS resolver.
For phones: Tens of thousands of apps show these ads, so we suggest you set up a DNS resolver (NextDNS, AdGuard, or a router/Pi-hole blocklist) so your phone blocks all of them automatically.
We also publish ready-made blocklists you can subscribe to as well. Use them.
Pease report any issues in our telegram linked in bio
God bless.
