We have decided to include our source list document to the main thread in case people need it with easier access. It is still in our original document and in our bio as well as here.
@YesungsLove I agree entirely, the situation in Korea in particular is so disgusting which is why these cases (especially when the West reports on it) are so important to hold the right people accountable with all the information at hand to make a fair judgement and not spread misinformation.
@virgohermit There's a google doc with a sources list for all the claims made in it if you want a more informative option, if not that's fine too. We only tried to correct misinformation spread years ago.
@Hooniez4Han @e7ernaIsunshine Op sources spread misinfo, they cropped out the article showing the woman broke into his car. She was a stalker and she got injured when he tried to get her out the car. The other assault he wasn't even there
Theres a mega thread + google doc going thru the whole thing w sources
@frnki_bxe OP tweet is full of misinfo, the DUIs are true but the assaults are false
Assault 1. A stalker fan broke into his car and when he tried to remove her she got injured on the door
Assault 2. He wasn't there for the bar fight, he left early
Theres a google doc with more evidence
@MyDragonTears These sources are from Pannchoa, the DUIs are real but ur 4th photo has been cut in half and doesn't have the full story bc the source pannchoa used cropped it on purpose. It was self defense not assault. The other assault he wasn't there for either when it happened
It's misinfo
@virgohermit The woman from the assault was a stalker fan who broke into his car. She got injured on the car door when he tried to remove her out of his car after asking first. The other assault he wasn't even there for.
Western sources didn't cover the whole story properly back in 2022.
@NfsJoseph @vhnshi@Teilerani@angipangiin@driedgosari Assault against women should not be treated lightly. But treating a case where a drunk woman broke into someone car without consent & getting injured by the victim trying to keep them out isn't the same as assault, its self defense. To treat it the same as assault is a disservice
@NfsJoseph @vhnshi@Teilerani@angipangiin@driedgosari Incase it helps in SK law if you defend yourself against someone and cause more harm in the process the other person can sue, she did sue which is where the agreement came in. But the incident itself states she got injured on the car door in the process of removal bc she broke in
@Noahisafraid@hajoonist_ No he isnt. This was a lie a editor made to garner more attention, she misquoted him on purpose. Between his defense statements vs hers, his have more evidence supporting his claims but the media went with her story for shock value
More evidence in thread + doc for each claim
A reminder that the Assault & Homophobia allegations levied against Lee Jung-jae are false. Please do your research from actual South Korean resources.
@rv_jihan@waitaminnie Hi this article about Lee Jung-jae is not accurate
The date on 1 of the assaults is wrong
0 Korean sources for the claims made
This article was made right after his Emmy nomination
If u read/research thru the Korean sources the allegations themself minus the DUIs are false
@geoffreyreads Can we DM? Im not an insane fan but I do have more information on this story. I think you could do it justice and we could exchange info. Hate Lee Jung-jae or not this deserves to be written about with all possible info to not misrepresent 1 of the K actors to break into the West
@jendallroy@cursedhat Please don't cite this source, it got the dates wrong and had no primary Korean sources or any sources relevant at all. It's written by a Western tabloid that did 0 research and they did it around the time Jung-jae was nominated for the Emmy
Also those 2 allegations are false
