Hungry husband has always been my hero..
But yesterday he truly was..
As you all know he’s staying on the family farm looking after Rose his mum
He smelt smoke and when he went outside to look ..
the Neighbouring farm was full of smoke so he ran towards it and found the field was on fire
Within this field was two horses, five sheep and a couple of goats scared out of their minds.
One sheep had distanced himself and was standing the other side of the fire and Stephen had to lead him through the fire back to where the others that were huddled together where he put them ..
Apparently, the whole flock of scared animals never took their eyes off him and trusted him completely,
The poor animals were following him and he was doing his horse whispering bit and talking to them and keeping them calm ..and leading them to safety and at the same time he was ringing the fire brigade.
He led all the animals to safety and got commended by the three fire engines and all the Crew for saving all the animals.
What a hero
Please, people don’t bloody light fires in a heat wave ..
the whole country is going up like a tinderbox
The fire was travelling at 3 miles an hour the fireman said and because the animals have got cornered and separated they would surely have died if it hadn’t been for my hero..
As they say, not all heroes wear capes
Some are handsome buggers with silver white hair and beards
A dear friend of mine handed me this writing found from a nursing home resident and I want to share it with you...
“I am 82 years old, I have 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a room of 12 square meters.
I no longer have a home or expensive things, but I have someone who will clean my room, prepare food and change my bedding, measure my blood pressure and weigh me.
I no longer have the laughter of my grandchildren around me, I don't see them growing, hugging and arguing. Some come to me every 15 days, some every three or four months, and some never.
I don't bake cakes anymore, I don't dig up the garden. I still have hobbies and I like to read, but my eyes quickly hurt.
I don’t know how much longer, but I have to get used to this loneliness. Here at this home, I lead group work and help those who are worse than me as much as I can.
Until recently, I read aloud to an immobile woman in the room next to me, we used to sing together, but she died the other day.
They say life is getting longer. Why? When I’m alone, I can look at photos of my family and memories I brought from home. And that's all. I miss them.
I hope that the next generations will understand that families are born to have a future (with children) and that they do not forget about the family even in old age.”
PLEASE DON'T FORGET YOUR LOVED ONES.
@bryjo58@sheila_boden@Jenny_1884 hes all for fighting for his country but not for bringing people in to the country who dont deserve to be here .most that come in are young men .unless they want a photo shout .then its a couple of women and children frown in the mix . if they come the right route thats ok
@mariejane2020 at the moment they say be careful of some trees because of the heat they are being starved of water and just braking off .good job that one didnt hit anyone
@Protect_Wldlife@herdirtytoes l was taught that too but most are good then you get the odd one that trys to be funny . not nice when riding .quite often used to get off and lead .but they are still a problem
@Protect_Wldlife@herdirtytoes dogs on leads if they react to a horse they will to anything .mostly horses and ponies are very good but if you have yapping dogs around you .its unfair to blame the horse .car drives are the worse .they even toot when they pass you just saying
