🟠 SN100 — Platform Subnet Launches BASE-1 Model, Locks ALPHA Tokens, and Develops Cortex IDE/CLI
The Platform subnet has launched BASE-1, an ambitious long-term initiative to build competitive AI systems, and locked 190,000 ALPHA tokens...

If access to frontier AI can disappear overnight, the future needs alternatives.
BASE-1 is being built with the Platform network on Bittensor Subnet 100.
The next frontier model may not come from a corporation.
It may come from a network.
Machine Learning on Bittensor. Incubated by Bitstarter.
Announced live on @TWiStartups featuring @alex, @Lons, @macrozack, and @mccrinbc, our new track is:
☑️ Backed by @const_reborn
☑️ Built for the best ML start-ups
☑️ Subnet registration, development, and infra included 👀
State-of-the-art ML researchers/subnets are coming to Bittensor 🚀
@macrozack from @bitstarterAI just announced that @const_reborn will be supporting Bitstarter in making it happen. The ecosystem keeps levelling up.
Let the data flow:
BEAM has removed the miner slot competition.
Previously, becoming an orchestrator on BEAM required holding a minimum of 2 TAO worth of alpha. That requirement is now gone.
Every miner registered on-chain is now an orchestrator on BEAM.
Our goal remains the same: keep quality bandwidth and value on the network for as long as possible.
Orchestrators will continue to differentiate themselves through performance, reliability, successful delivery, and how effectively they coordinate and reward their workers.

Subnet 105: Beam
@b1m_ai@Nic_B1m
BEAM isn’t building hype.
It’s building infrastructure.
And it might become one of the most important layers for data movement on Bittensor.

It looks like @YumaGroup and @BarrySilbert have a new competitive horse in their stable, it’s time to take a much closer look.
when @Nic_B1m pitched me his subnet idea
i knew immediately he was the right person to tackle this decentralised bandwidth problem
first milestone was simple and super clear:
→ move 500MB in under 30 sec, consistently, with just 20–30 workers. ✅
@b1m_ai miners hit this yesterday. it's done. on par with AWS and Google.
and they just started 2–3 weeks ago, let that sink in...
We have proven that BEAM and its distributed bandwidth network can operate at the same level as traditional transfer providers while remaining fully decentralized.
500MB transferred in 21–29 seconds is still early, but the progress is real.
Beam is ready for orchestrators and workers.
Starting Friday, we will begin running daily transfers, allowing orchestrators and workers to participate in building the foundation for distributed bandwidth transfer.
Competition between orchestrators will be driven entirely by the performance of their worker pools:
- Transfer success
- Throughput
- Reliability
- Delivery speed
We will begin with lighter payloads and progressively scale toward multi-gigabyte and eventually terabyte transfers.
The system is designed to continuously improve as participants compete and the network learns which orchestrators and workers deliver the best results.
API Documentation:
Please also find below the API documentation and the lightweight worker code in the BEAM repository. https://t.co/uqTSfdm2mY
Dashboard:
The beta dashboard is now available at https://t.co/ogZPNfTwPa
This dashboard is still in beta, so some data and functionality may be incomplete or buggy as we continue improving it.
The dashboard provides early visibility into:
- Orchestrator competition
- Worker pool performance
- Validator measurements
- Transfer activity and bandwidth metrics
We are actively iterating on it and expect rapid improvements over the coming days.
Worker Code:
The worker code has been added to the BEAM repository at GitHub. You can find it here: https://t.co/21L8sSwBlW
The BEAM miner code is now available. https://t.co/ey8T4pvNae
This is a soft release as we continue onboarding validators and making adjustment to the code.
