@Heneungil THANK YOOOOU. ngl this is definitely my most Unhinged meta (and that's....saying something, there's some competition there lmfao) but listen. I think we robbylangdons need to be more feral and unhinged about them in general so i stand by what i said and I'd SAY IT AGAIN!!!!
@zegljackets@ayngellicabyers Santos would never call Yolanda Yoyo and Yolanda would never want her to call her Yoyo, it doesn't fit for either of them, imo.
@Heneungil YES. SOMEONE ELSE GETS ME!!! Pls have some (UTTERLY unhinged) meta around this concept/robbylangdon as mirrors for each other - and specifically re s2 and Langdon as Robby’s mirror, but one that refuses to reflect back self-hatred bc he loves him.

@rbbylangdon I've been SAYING this!!!! (Or, well, I went off abt it like once) but listen ur right.
I also actually think they're more similar than people would initially think/that they could work really really well together which. Juicy. For many reasons (not ALL related to robbylangdon)
@talkforme22 Mmm i have Unhinged Theories based on patterns/Key Moments in canon but i too would like some INFO PLS.
(The unhingement, for those who would partake:

@taiturnerr imo Yolanda wouldn't want/let anyone else call her Yoyo, either. That's for her loser little brother Langdon only/is something she associates with him and does Not want to think about when engaged in any other activities.
some of yall really want the main character of the show meant to identify with the physical and mental heath struggles of healthcare workers to kill himself and that really shows me that you don’t actually give a fuck about what it’s all supposed to mean
@ronantixs yolanda is besties with frank 'i WILL nerd out abt 'living historians' right in front of all of my co-workers' langdon. they have always been dork4dork/loser4loser.
He makes a "for crike's sake!" pun right in front of her salad and she doesn't mock him in the slightest!!!
@moxnsong alright, okay, I gotta ask: WHERE does the whole $10 pizza slice thing come from I'm SO confused by that!? is this, like, a Thing in 'merica???
@amercnpie -not 'well the textbook says this so there'. Yes, OBVIOUSLY Langdon is also obfuscating the compromised vial, but the principle of 'play it by ear, use your exp, treat patients as individuals not textbook stats' is NOT wrong (and is another thing he and Santos have in common btw-
@amercnpie 1)- that is not what gaslighting is/means.
2)- What Langdon says re "your EM textbook says a patient needs x. Sometimes they need a little more" is: NOT wrong. (and is repeated later on by Walsh "treat the patient, not the protocol") - you use your judgement and experience, too-
@amercnpie@paranoid_pascal Yes it is. And yes it does. But you do not get TWENTY charts behind if you are in any way attempting to do any charting at all. This is something she chose not to do. Yes she got on top of it (when made to). But the OG point remains which is: actions impacting patient care.
@paranoid_pascal@amercnpie and your evidence for this is what, exactly??? All of the times we see Javadi and Whitaker blatantly refuse to acknowledge protocol/ double-check procedures before carrying them out? The others have made mistakes, sure, Santos makes THAT mistake bc of a refusal to present first.
@paranoid_pascal@amercnpie Are the actions bad because of the actual outcomes, or because of the potential danger? Bc technically no one died from Langdon's med diversion, either. They both pose risk. They both COULD HAVE seriously endangered a patient - the fact they (as far as we know) didn't, is luck.
@amercnpie Also I am "worrying" about Javadi to exactly the same extent/degree that you were "worrying" about Santos being 'belittled and demeaned' by a superior. You cannot have one as bad and not the other. I'm comparing like-for-like here based on what we see in canon.
@amercnpie Langdon does NOT 'speak over' Javadi. There's a solid 20 seconds of real-time after Baran asks the question and Javadi: does not answer. A nurse gives a vitals update and Langdon then: orders meds. Javadi herself is obv not upset by this/looks startled by Baran snapping at him.
