Today, I asked the government to take action to stop the growth of the far-right.

This seemed to upset the Reform MPs in front of me.

Hundreds of demonstrators dressed in black and wearing balaclavas blocked the streets around Dover earlier today, shouting 'stop the boats' in what the Port of Dover described as a 'public order incident'.

The protest seemed to take the police by surprise and intimidated residents.

The demonstrators were eventually escorted to the railway station. It appears an anti-immigration group with links to the far right have claimed responsibility for the demonstration.

The narrative about Pakistani grooming gangs was pushed by some prominent figures to fuel hatred against Pakistanis in the UK. This created an environment of hostility towards the Pakistani community, which in turn led to attacks on Pakistanis by White populists associated with Tommy Robinson.

I see multiple prominent UK political journalists quote-tweeting this Green mayor and snarkily saying he should be focused on bin collection as if UK mayors and councils of all parties and none haven't twinned their towns with 100s of towns and cities across the world - including in Israel. From Euston to Manchester, on the train an Indian woman was recorded telling a British-born Arab Muslim man to “go back to his country.”

He rightly pointed out he’s British-born and pays taxes .

Whatever the provocation, telling someone to leave the country based on ethnicity or appearance is wrong — especially in the UK, which has welcomed millions from around the world, including Indians.

Racism cuts both ways. Hypocrisy too. Let’s judge people by their actions, not their origins.
