@docm77 Despite how it looks, this is not a small and easy feature to implement. It's far easier to add a block to a game than rework how chat works deep inside. Mojang must have had it in development for at least a few weeks, if not months already. Why was it kept secret, Mojang?

@ThatMumboJumbo Maybe try not to think about it as a "need to", rather than "want to". When I have to push myself to do things I normally love, I immediately lose inspiration (and enthusiasm). Creativity-based jobs get much harder when you think of them as jobs.
