Schools don’t need to ban phones from the classroom. It’s standard practice for students to leave their phones with reception anyway. And, if the emotional health or behaviour of some children has become challenging as a result of the lockdown, they need support not punishment!
I also want to emphasize that to say that poverty has declined does not mean that the world is free of poverty.
The world is extremely unequal and the huge majority of the world is very poor.
The world should rely on higher poverty lines as Hickel (and every other poverty researcher) says.

I think it is true that poverty can be created.
For example there are some authors that make a living by suggesting that economic growth is not necessary to reduce global poverty. If they are convincing the world of this idea then these authors create poverty.
