@candystripe Hi Kate, Bodegroes is having a lick of paint here and there where needed, nothing outlandish, don't worry! The grounds are having a spring tidy up and some much needed pruning in time for next guests. The house and the grounds are looking beautiful, if we don't say so oursleves!

Work is currently underway at Plas Bodegroes, we have the painters in to spruce up inside, while outside work is underway to tidy the secret Japanese garden!

So sad to hear of the passing of Alastair Little. The greatest influence on Modern British Food. I had the pleasure of working at Frith St for a week in 1991, when he welcomed me with generosity and charm, and of reviewing Keep it Simple for Caterer Magazine. An inspiration.

@BryanWWebb I remember reviewing it for Caterer. In fact I still have my review tucked into my copy. A great book. I told a Michelin inspector that I thought that, and he said "Ah, but I noticed the rocket salad wasn't dressed!" Says it all 🙄
