Perfectly true. But the US has pulled back for the last few years on funding, weapon supplies and sanctions and that has allowed Putin to continue. The US help could have been decisive. (And yes Trump was right that Europe needed to step up and they are so doing.)

Migrants go to France displaced by war but not all. This is a complex issue and some are economic migrants. Laws do apply to international waters. Think ethics not just law. It is almost imposible to 'just turn them around' without mass drownings. Is that OK?
