Civilian airliners shouldn’t be flying over war zones. russia is a war zone that started its own war. It’s about time the entire country becomes a no fly zone.
@AughtonNeil@thorgkatrin Parliament does not merely 'advise' - it amends legislation and sends it back to the Council.
For most EU laws, the Parliament and the Council must agree on the same text.
@AughtonNeil@thorgkatrin MEPs have direct legislative influence on more than just votes - such as committees and amendments. Iceland would also gain a seat in the Council, where member states shape EU law.
Further, Iceland could block decisions in areas requiring unanimity - just as Orban has done.
@PaigeZanco@andruyeung Compared to Hart, Meyers, Juno and other indie/hype bakeries, no.
Compared to old school bakeries, yes.
A 7/11 in Denmark will have trouble selling pastries if the quality isn’t up to par because there are so many high quality bakeries around. 7/11 croissants are 100% butter!
