@michaelgraub @BryanJacoutot@TechBalt@zackvoell@hasufl@arjunblj bitcoin has been hacked twice and forced to hard fork. not as secure as you think. poorly written c++ code is still vulnerable today and exploits are disclosed in private not to compromise the social security of the chain and to keep vested financial interests
@zackvoell@BryanJacoutot@hasufl@arjunblj more important than the tvl/volume in defi/uniswap there is much more of an ideological shift where kyc is frowned upon for a public sale, "no vc, no premine" is championed in experimental projects and on chain data is preferred. the btc cypherpunk-ism is alive in the eth today
@BryanJacoutot@zackvoell@hasufl@arjunblj i understand that position, but i'm sure this new wave of "decentralization" in eth is being embraced by bitcoiners in secret. its really hard as a technology enthusiast to not look over and say "there are a few projects doing some really cool stuff"
