This is such an iconic moment in Magnum, P.I. because these two episodes kicked off Season 3 and were such an eye-opener. I am cautiously optimistic that we will be able to run the @SpaceX version of the VR72 at close to 250kW average power, meaning peak power would be ~10% higher.

I suspect that Bigfoot can sense the cameras. It could be the EM's and or IR lights. A passive camera that doesn't turn on until a trip wire at 7ft in the air is breached could be better. Also, cover the camera in a way that it isn't visible until the trip wire pulls the cover off.

A new camera-trap study published September 29 shows how AI can identify wildlife and analyze when and where animals are active.

This could provide another approach to Bigfoot research.

Researchers could establish normal activity patterns for deer, coyotes, raccoons and other wildlife at a location with repeated Bigfoot reports.

Those patterns could then be compared with reported sightings, unusual vocalizations, track discoveries and other events.

Researchers could look for changes in animal abundance, movement routes and activity during those periods.

This would provide another measurable dataset for long-term Bigfoot research.
