@mikemearls 🎯 The 4e system (and some of what was imported into 5e) feels like it was made to be run by a computer. Maybe it was done invovluntarily, but some of the MMO concepts that were brought to 4e just overload the players and DMs with tiny modifiers to keep track of.
A very warm welcome to Marcos Guimarães @mhdguimaraes, our new Associate Professor in the Physics of Energy Materials 💫 His research explores charge, light, spin and magnetism in quantum van der Waals nanoscale materials to enable more energy-efficient information technologies.
The NBA mourns the passing of Oscar Schmidt (1958-2026). The Brazilian basketball legend debuted for Brazil at 19 in 1977 and played in every Olympics from 1980 to 1996. Oscar’s the all-time leading scorer in Olympic history with more than 1,000 points and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013. We extend our deepest condolences to the Schmidt family.
"Sonhei a vida toda estar aqui e agora eu estou"

Happy #QuantumDay!
Far beyond science fiction, quantum technology could help NASA scientists study Earth with greater precision—from crop forecasts to severe weather prediction and mapping underground resources.
Earthset.
The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.
This looks like it's a daytime shot, but, it's actually taken from the dark side of Earth, with the planet illuminated by moonlight. This lets faint details like the aurora, stars and the sodium layer show up without over exposing the planet.
Good morning, world! 🌎
We have spectacular new high-resolution images of our home planet, all of us looking back through the Orion capsule window at our Artemis II astronauts as they continue their journey to the Moon.
That's us! 🌍
The Artemis II crew captured beautiful, high-resolution images of our home planet during their journey to the Moon. As @Astro_Christina put it: "You guys look great."

The New York Times agrees — Rochester is one of the best up-and-coming places to live.
Our city has an incredible mix of culture, community, and opportunity, making it a pretty special place to call home. https://t.co/ZR3OySI9vQ
