I think it's easily forgotten that the vast majority of historians in this country are simply trying to do the best they can to teach their students not just history, but the critical thinking and reading skills cultivated by it.
I’m increasingly convinced that history majors are the only ones who can save us. The business majors have failed miserably. We need leaders who are capable of long-term thinking. History majors, rise! Your time has come!

The US needs to get it together and do a full 8 week lockdown, give each person 80% of their income, and pay small/medium businesses 80% of their projected income. Our country isn’t making progress because we are asking for lockdowns, but with no financial assistance.
