Today I was heartened to receive at 🇧🇧 @pmbdosgeneva, H.E. Hector Constant Rosales @h_constant, 🇻🇪Venezuela's Ambassador to the UN at Geneva, where we discussed areas of mutual interest and cooperation between our two countries.
Thank you #Barbados Ambassador, Chad Blackman, for your visit and productive discussion about the #COVID19 situation. @WHO welcomes 🇧🇧 and Prime Minister @miaamormottley's leadership of a strong, whole of government response, and coordination in the Caribbean region. Together!
Providing access to financial services at an affordable and sustainable cost, must be a key part of governments’ policy response to the pandemic. 💲

Today we @WTO, @ITCnews & @UNCTAD have launched the SDG Trade Monitor.
For #MSMEs data is what keeps then afloat. It is what helps them understand what to produce, when to produce it and where to sell it. It is at the core of any business model.

New @UNCTAD estimates show world trade is recovering slowly.
The value of global trade this year is now set to fall by just 7% to 9% compared to 2019 – a marked improvement on the 20% drop projected at the outset of the #COVID19 pandemic. https://t.co/h0qsVja1S6
Corruption in the time of #COVID19 has the potential to seriously undermine good governance around the world & send us even farther off-track in our work to achieve the #GlobalGoals.
I urge all governments & leaders to be transparent & accountable. https://t.co/de90P0jsKr
