Our message to British Columbians remains the same: we will put forward a serious, stable option in the next election to defeat the disastrous NDP government.
We are hard at work ensuring we are election-ready as we face the possibility of an absurd and unnecessary election call in a matter of hours.
As leader, my vision of @VoteCentreBC is growing a political movement that welcomes diverse, respectful debate and dialogue on all issues — economic and societal. I want to apologize to @NVanCaroline for a tweet drafted by a volunteer this morning. We will only repair the damage to B.C. created by the NDP by engaging in meaningful and broad conversations.
So proud of our team, esp @Mike_A_Bernier who worked tirelessly & selflessly bts to make this merger happen.
I am excited to get to work with our new leader, @PeterMilobar & the other MLAs who joined us, esp @a_warbus & @elenoresturko both whom I have the utmost respect for.
Advance voting starts today for the Abbotsford-Mission by-election. If you're an eligible voter in the district, you can vote at any of our advance voting locations from 8 am to 8 pm. Find your advance voting location at https://t.co/qWzDJjHIg1 #bcpoli
Wow! @Mike_A_Bernier is an amazing leader and I'm sad he is stepping down, but if he trusts Peter to lead then we're good to go! Unified, stable, and responsible. We've got this.
Thank you to @Mike_A_Bernier for all you’ve done for CentreBC and British Columbia. You are a man of integrity, selflessness, wisdom and vision, and have an unshakable commitment to this province.
We are very excited to welcome our new leader, @PeterMilobar who with his experience, pragmatism, clarity and equally unshakable commitment to BC will lead this party and province into an era of prosperity!

Former B.C. Finance Minister and MLA @Mike_de_Jong Endorses Lakhwinder Jhaj and CentreBC!
"In this by-election, what we need, what our community needs, what our province needs is a candidate and a political party that can bring people together. A candidate and a political party that believe in the fundamentals of responsible fiscal management, economic growth, and investment. In this by-election, the candidate and the party that represent that to me are Lakhwinder and CentreBC.
There’s a lot going on in the political landscape right now, but I choose to support a party and a candidate that doesn’t talk about driving people away or why they’re not welcome. I choose to support the candidate and a party that is talking about what brings us together and how we can build prosperity together."

"Throughout my life, I have believed that the best way to strengthen a community is to serve it.
I never set out to collect awards or recognition. I simply tried to help where I could, supporting families, working with newcomers, volunteering in the community, and standing alongside people when they needed someone in their corner.
I was honoured in 2004 to be one of just 36 British Columbians to receive the inaugural BC Community Achievement Award.
Over the years, I have also been humbled to receive other recognitions for community service and leadership.
But the achievements I am most proud of cannot be measured by awards. They are the relationships built, the people helped, and the opportunities created through years of community involvement.
Service has always been at the heart of everything I do. It is why I have volunteered, why I have advocated for others, and why I am now asking for the opportunity to serve the people of Abbotsford-Mission as their MLA.
Abbotsford-Mission has given so much to my family and me. I am committed to giving back and working every day to be a strong voice for our community.
I would be honoured if you would vote for me, Lakhwinder Jhaj.
Final Voting Day is September 26, 2026.
Advance voting takes place from September 18-23."

@joeydhansen That just tells us if Eby calls an election, he is NOT working for British Columbians, he is trying to keep his job. He will put us further into debt.
This was a great event and we definitely had a full house! @VoteCentreBC Thank you to our fabulous candidate and all the community members who came out to support her.

So what does the NDP do?
Starting Oct. 1, they’re expanding the 𝟳% 𝗣𝗦𝗧 to more services — putting another tax directly onto consumers.
After record deficits, runaway spending and a $1.46-billion forecasting error, British Columbians are being asked to pay even more.
