Today, we have been at War with Iran for SIX MONTHS.
The 1973 War Powers Act required Trump to withdraw forces within 90 days absent authorization from Congress.
They ridiculously claimed to stop the war & restart new hostilities @ 91 days.
We are past 180 days. End the War.
@KeithMalinak We have an oddly shaped boy too. His name is Max and he has a giant fatty tumor on one shoulder. Don't want to put him through the surgery since it does not bother him at all. I just pray it doesn't get bigger and start to bother him. Your Tanner is a beautiful boy!
There are so many people and organizations that the Polk County Sheriff’s Office would like to acknowledge and thank for their part in getting our K9 Ace the help he needed after he was shot by a suspect on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
Immediately after he was wounded, Ace was taken to Parkway Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Lakeland where his bleeding was stopped and he was stabilized by Dr. Oscar Aguayo and his team.
Once stabilized, Ace was picked up by Tampa General Hospital’s Aeromed helicopter with pilot Chad Loftin (Metro Aviation), Chief Flight Nurse Tracy Sanderson (TGH), and Flight Paramedic Kenny Switzer (TGH).
Aeromed transported Ace to Veterinary Medical Center at Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton to be cared for by Dr. Devon Diaz and his team.
Ace is a 7-year-old German Shepherd. He has been with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office since March of 2020.
He was shot in the front left leg. The bullet broke his leg and tore an artery which caused him to lose a lot of blood.
The PCSO is truly grateful for the tremendous outpouring of support from our community. We appreciate the support for our deputies involved last night, and of course for Ace and his well-being.
Many have reached out to the PCSO asking if there was anything they could do.
Polk Sheriff’s Charities, Inc. has an established K9 Fund that will be used to support K9 Ace’s care. For those who have asked how they can help, donations may be made directly to the K9 Fund through the link below. Once on the donation page, simply select “K9” from the dropdown menu.

The Wiltse Family Trust has already informed us that they intend to cover the cost for Ace’s care at Veterinary Medical Center the Lakewood Ranch AND the Trust has already committed to purchasing a new K9 to replace Ace now that he will have to retire.
Again, we sincerely appreciate the continued support, kindness, and generosity shown to our K9 Unit during this difficult time.

I cannot stress this enough:
If you have designated yourself as an organ donor on your drivers license, remove it now.
Your family has ZERO ability to override that designation. If the organ donation team designates you as a candidate for donation, your medical team is removed from dictating your care and the organ donation team takes over.
There have been numerous cases like the one mentioned here.
I have personally witnessed people BEGGING for their loved one to not be made an organ donor, but if you checked that box on your drivers license, that’s all it takes. You have consented and give up any right to retract.
My God… this is horrific 💔
🚨 Sister Recounts Horrifying Moment her Brother Wept as he was being prepped to have his Organs Harvested
Donna Rhorer— “TJ was crying on the operating table, his eyes were tracking me and they told me it was just reflexes— then during the heart cath, he was thrashing and crying, grabbing the doctors hands to stop him”… as they were preparing to harvest his organs after he had been FALSELY declared brain-dead.
TJ, who survived was present in the audience crying uncontrollably…

🚨🚨🚨🚨Today the U.S. House passed the Sunshine Protection Act, advancing legislation that would make Daylight Saving Time permanent nationwide.
This is the biggest legislative step this issue has taken in years but it is not law.
The bill now moves to the U.S. Senate, where there is still an opportunity for it to be debated, amended, or rejected. If you care about health and circadian biology, this is the time to speak up.
The scientific case against permanent DST has become increasingly strong:
• Morning light is the most powerful signal for synchronizing the human circadian clock.
• Permanent DST delays sunrise for much of the year, especially in winter, reducing exposure to morning light when our brains need it most.
• Later sunrises are associated with chronic circadian misalignment, sleep loss, poorer mood, reduced alertness, and increased cardiometabolic risk.
• Studies comparing western versus eastern portions of time zones consistently show worse health outcomes where people experience later sunrises despite sharing the same clock time.
• The American Academy of Sleep Medicine and numerous sleep and circadian experts recommend permanent Standard Time, not permanent DST, as the option that best aligns with human biology.
The argument for permanent DST is largely one of convenience and preference for lighter evenings. The argument for permanent Standard Time is one of physiology and public health.
If you believe our laws should reflect the best available scientific evidence, now is the time to respectfully contact your U.S. Senators. Tell them that while ending the twice-yearly clock changes is a worthy goal, permanent Daylight Saving Time is not the healthiest solution. Ask them instead to support permanent Standard Time, which preserves the morning light our circadian system depends on.
Please REPOST this. The Senate has not yet voted, and informed voices can still make a difference.
@LeaderJohnThune is the Senate majority leader that will determine when this legislation comes to the Senate for debate. He should know how you feel.
Which is your time preference?
There are two bills awaiting
House votes for each of the options below:
1) Permanent Standard Time
2) Permanent Daylight Saving Time

I stumbled across @therealDeFlock after they stumbled across one of my anti APLR Flock posts. I rarely promote accounts but this one needs to hit the stratosphere with followers and getting more people informed about these flock cameras that are impeding our rights.
@StraightFlorida Not only did my cousin and I do this, as well as my sister and I, our Basset Hound would occasionally have one on his ear too. 🤣😂 Good memories!
@MaxandCarrie Her eyes just melt my heart! My family had a brown and white Basset Hound named Sean when I was a kid. He was the most awesome dog, funny and sweet. ❤️
