@Thusundi Imagine going on vacation and finding bring out that while you were asleep someone played your dragon and killed two other faction leaders! #WinningSecrets
@RuleOfThule@micpewpew I also probably wouldnโt want to be writing up SEEN posts during an in person braunstein. Quick GOSS roll, but also leave it to players to communicate where the others are so they can go smash
@AlchemicRaker My first character was a cleric, I had intended to worship Jesus until I was told I couldnโt. I initially didnt feel comfortable worshiping a false god, even as a fake character. I donโt get why you wouldnโt want to be Christian in game too
@DarkSwordSpam@DunderMoose@archon Even in #Drakonheim we use 5e in pbp. Usually we just say what we are doing and @dm_serious just rolls everything for us all at once, then relays what happened. Sometimes we get a battle map draw in Excel. You do whatever works
@_The_big_Other_@DunderMoose@Angry_Steak If you see each other regularly you can do all negotiations and such verbally. For actually submitting orders, Iโd probably still want it either written down or texted to me. Docketed battles can obviously be played in person
@_The_big_Other_@DunderMoose@Angry_Steak It doesnโt have to be. Several bros run campaigns in person, I would have if my group didnโt move in different directions right before I found the bros. This play style was done back in the 60s and 70s too
@TheEclecticGoat@archon@DunderMoose Roughly. When I was GMing I was spending no more than an hour a week on my game of 4 players. We had sessions too, now as a player Iโm typically not available for sessions so I can only be in the pbp part of the game, I spend maybe 15 minutes a week as a player
@archon@DunderMoose@TheEclecticGoat Iโll push back on this, I spend less time texting a few times a day in 1:1 orders than I would spend on a single session each week if I could consistently play
@donaldkoenig@DunderMoose Usually the DM should be acting charitably towards players not there, but I get your concerns. Anyways, I've got to go, pleasure talking to you
@donaldkoenig@DunderMoose I try to explain it because everyone told me you could never do it this way and its not fun, until some people told me it was and I tried it. Turned out I love it a lot and want more people to try it out
