hi with all the love ive gotten from my genshin leyendercker inspired pieces i realise its alrd bin pretty long since i did one but im on the fence on who i should do next, would u like seeing dehya or beidou for my next piece?
@MonstadstsFay@bbbutterflying Fair, perhaps if the war in Iran had occurred before Sumeru came out people would’ve thought about it in that way a little. But I’m going to be honest, the average person doesn’t understand the concept of white saviorism
enough to even realize it could be an issue
@MonstadstsFay Not Muslim but would Sumeru being muslim be shirk? Aside from the archon Nahida, they’re also inspired from Egyptian, Hindu, and Zoroastrian gods right? I think people criticized the very mixing of these cultures into one firstly since there wasn’t purely islamic influence
@MonstadstsFay@bbbutterflying I know you aren’t arguing that, but I think that’s the reason why nobody is saying that is because it really is a stretch 😅
@MonstadstsFay@bbbutterflying That’s a misreading of the situation though. The people within Sumeru already had issues with the government. Nobody needed to be convinced by the traveler there was issues, the traveller helped out but wouldn’t have been successful if no one in Sumeru was putting in work too
@thegildednight@LuisAlv73696781 @DominiczSigma @joannesbitch Gonna be honest, Hinduism a lot of the times *is* this, especially since modern Hindus are trying to stop caste. I’m not sure why this guy is doing this, it must be either some niche local practice or a personal choice because this is very much a 1-in-a-million case.
@DominiczSigma @joannesbitch I mean I agree but nobody asked him to do this. This isn’t part of the religion at all, he’s just a fanatic that decided to do something crazy
