@UbisoftSupport@KPNwebcare Same: login issues in the Netherlands, ISP is KPN. Traceroute to https://t.co/fXOXhjWGmf (203.132.18.217) mostly does not go beyond https://t.co/FLwZdmIxJh, though some probes are answered by 139.156.98.101 (another KPN IP). Peering issue at KPN?
@smdiehl You're probably already aware but on the off-chance you're not, something's screwed up with the DNS of https://t.co/QNybiwXt2d. Been unreachable since at least 12 hours. You've probably got better things to do right now but not able to point people at your writing :-(
@bunq So, basically, first you increase fees, then instead of being a financially responsible institution you create a *lottery* that on average redistributes part of those fees to the people who already have the most money in their accounts. Any of that technically incorrect?
"Dymo is trying something unprecedented here. DRM in paper is such an abysmal, abusive idea that we should all recoil from it... This is one of those rare moments where a terrible plan is being hatched and we have the chance to stake it through the heart before it can reproduce."
@josephfcox And before anyone goes "Well *legally* they would be off the hook if...", A) under sensible laws (GDPR) I don't see a way in which this would fly at all, due to the nature of the information, and B) law and morality are two different things -- law usually follows, not leads.
@josephfcox Why even bother mentioning "without consent"? As though it would somehow be okay as long as they ask the victim whether they agree to this?
@hdevalence Considering the way it's clustered, my guess would be there either is no transport capacity available at all to transport away from those negative areas; or using transport capacity would cost *even more* than enticing to consume locally.
