@Arch_magnus @mattgurney That’s some of my sister’s views on her son’s cadet service. Logistics were severely lacking. Military time was non existent in some facets. I get that it’s cadets, but one would think that’d be the time to enforce a standard for kids already engaged in military culture

@TimLasson @mattgurney Locally they promote Hunters Safety courses from grade seven and up. And offer First Aid, with some pre-Covid Wilderness training being offered by local volunteer fire departments. Kids love it. And if you do volunteer work, that counts as high school credit.

@jeffreyscott88 The fact he resigned, now, as party leader, prorogued parliament, these numbers here, I am spitting mad. The gall to leave us like this. When your guy is coming in making threats, the carbon tax is about to increase, etc etc. Selfishness and ego borne by the common citizen.

@saltcnservative @FreedomMAGA9 I’m not even sure we understand it. Especially with the chaos lately and the clock ticking towards the inauguration. He and his caucus screwed us over as a country due to molasses level movement away from ego toward anything resembling good leadership.

@cselley @Cheeseonthelip I’m not well versed because we opted out as a family. I think it’s a function of distance between western Canadian towns? And a lower population? Our son was a good player but continuing was unsustainable on a number of levels.

@cselley @Cheeseonthelip Just urban and suburban? Rural elite kids are travelling one to two and half hours twice a week for practices. And these are U13’s and younger. And then there are the trips to the States…. Crazy. I think that’s why people don’t put their kids in hockey.
