TAHSN claiming that Mount Sinai Hospital was a target for protesters is not only factually incorrect, but defamatory in nature. There was no targeting of the hospital and no antisemitism found in any aspect of the protest.
CEOs in the healthcare sector are quick to denounce a peaceful protest, but have yet to make any statements about the complete annihilation of the healthcare system in Gaza. Canadian doctors are risking their lives in Gaza, Canadian citizens are experiencing physical, psychological, and emotional trauma, & families in Canada are experiencing unimaginable blows to their mental health as they fear for their relatives’ lives every day.
We denounce your silence and enabling of anti-Palestinian racism. Passing by a hospital while protesting is not motivated by hate; choosing to frame our community as antisemitic is. The healthcare system in Gaza has been physically destroyed; the Western healthcare system is morally destroyed. #T4P
Health workers are sending a loud and clear message to @cityoftoronto that they will not allow a handful of racist Zionist physicians to distract from the ongoing ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Palestinian people! #FreePalestine
Absolutely everyone should be concerned by this. No matter where you stand on this, the @VancouverPD should be partisan. As head of police board @KenSimCity should address this #vanpoli
Not only are these remarks by @selinarobinson racist and hateful, they are utterly baseless claims that show her lack of knowledge and understanding.
This is Terra nullius crap.
The @bcndp needs to act swiftly on this and demand her resignation.
@CTVVancouver Misreporting! This article says that Rob Phillip signed a letter along with hundreds of faculty - he did not. The hundreds signed a pro-Palestinian plea for UBC to denounce Israel's violence. Phillip signed another letter to the AMS student society bullying them for protesting.
@UBC Hillel house accused these student protestors of engaging in "hate speech." That's a serious accusation with legal consequences (though there will be none) that puts UBC student protestors at risk, especially when reinforced by UBC's president.
