@marklevinshow Respectfully, Paxton is going to cost us the senate. So much money will be sunk to get him over the line that we won't be able to spend on races like NC and GA.
@Nick1112@GAFollowers Oh no, she believes in the principles that the state exists to preserve freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution, and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be.
@FixedGearBacon@GAFollowers I think anybody pushing a partisan agenda in nonpartisan judicial races is an issue. Which was the point of my original comment.
@FixedGearBacon@GAFollowers If you did go to high school* with me, it's a shame you do not have the ability to treat someone you know with respect and not resort to name calling. Frankly, it's a shame you can't avoid name calling even if you didn't know me.
@Nick1112@GAFollowers Bethel may be a former Republican, but he has presided as a non-partisan Justice. See RNC v. Eternal Vigilance Action, where the GA Supreme Ct ruled unanimously against Republicans. As to Warren, there is no basis to claim she is a "conservative and Republican as well."
@GAFollowers Thatโs also why they likely sued the JQC, but we donโt know because the judge in that lawsuit is Stacey Abramsโs sister and she sealed the case.
@GAFollowers The court is currently 9 impartial justices and who follow the rule of law. The Democrats have turned this into a partisan fight and the candidates have likely violated the rules of the judicial qualification committee.
@DruidofNecro@AlecStapp Because I have talked to other developers. We are seeing newly built out BTRs that can't even get to ยฝ occupancy with at least 2 more in construction.
