@LukeEdwardsTele 100% agree, it’s bad enough they’re guaranteed a lower ranked team - but to then give them a home team is absurd. The whole point of cup competitions is to give everyone an equal chance of winning - “everyone is equal, just some are more equal than others”
@ToonMouthTyne@wilsoa10 Ultimately we’re owned 80% or so by PIF and you’re right we have a structure in place now. They did a great job but not sure we need them as front of house anymore - other clubs don’t operate like that. Especially their ownership was so low… time to move on
@bazza080808 Totally agree! Next fans who’ve not been to away games for 20 years because we were shit are going to start demanding preferential treatment 🤣
@MsiDouglas To give another example in FS. Startups wouldn’t be allowed e.g. Staring / Uber, because they could only reinvest their profit. It creates a monopoly amongst existing players and is deemed anti competitive / not good for the market. Similar logic applies here
@MsiDouglas In Financial Services you have to hold capital to one side for the event that you hit financial issues. I’d like to see something similar with the intent of protecting clubs. If people have cash funds (not borrowing) and want to invest you need to let them really…
@MrJackLowe Surely if you wanted to leave your tent for the homeless you’d pack it back in the bag and leave it? Just leaving it for you and others to have to do the work is quite entitled
