The first 6 eigennutrients explain 50% of the variance of nutrient content (among the 64 nutrients in 5,624 foods in the FNDDS Nutrient Values database).

One example:
@Chris_Said Love new compasses. I'm right now trying to factorize FEC contributions to see what that space looks like!
Initial results are ... not as easily interpretable as I'd hoped π
@Noahpinion The point isn't necessarily that dems will win every election - but with a less tilted playing field, Rs will shift policies and rhetoric in order to have a better shot. Not 100% dems forever, but more Romney/McCain-ish than Trump-ish Rs. Lower stakes.
Fun fact about our electoral system, from the @BrennanCenter: "The United States is the only major democracy in the world that requires individual citizens to shoulder the onus of registering to vote." https://t.co/EeZ5l4SXzd
@rafalab Is that last dot on GA saying Biden is already up there? And do we know if there will be more data released tonight or are they done?
(also thanks so much for making these!)
no one in the Republican Party β not its politicians, not its intellectuals, not its activists β express any desire to build majoritarian coalitions or support measures that would lower barriers to voting and bring more of the population into the process
