Many simply don’t believe it.

"Internet-Speed" sounds cool – but it currently only has ~90 TPS.

And yet some celebrate themselves as if Kaspa is the fastest chain in the world. (Kaspa reached a block rate of 10 blocks per second with its Crescendo version.)

Many also point out that ticks and transactions are not identical. That’s true – but they are closely related:
A tick in Qubic is like a block in traditional blockchains – a time-based processing unit in which a number of transactions are bundled and processed.

A developer (mio) explained it on Discord as follows:

“At the moment the network is configured to do 1024 transactions per tick. So if tick times are 1 second then that would be 1024 tx/sec. If tick times are around 2.5 sec that would mean the 400 transactions/sec. One transaction can do many transfers.”
