We know almost nothing of the world we are swallowing whole. Yet even if we are losing we will never give up. We will do it for the Bramble Cay melomys.

@KCL_Artist @richarddibX @keithedwards Ugh. While the OP is terrible, your response is arguably worse. This is why Twitter is such a problem for humanity. It just turns everybody into unreasonable road-ragers.
@HappyNacho73 @ianinindo1 @PeterDTAdams No, I totally get your point, I just totally missed it in my reactionary reply. Sorry.
What is it about this platform?
Perhaps dickboy should rename it ArgumentBook.
It seems to bring out the worst in us.
At COP28, the Road to Climate Action Is Paved with Big Oil Loophole Language https://t.co/1IRI0NJkpX via @DeSmog
“The ultimate objective is to legitimize the large-scale reliance and deployment of abatement technologies like CCS as an alternative to a full and complete phase out of fossil fuels.”
@MjwCoach@HappyNacho73 I like this.
Also tether the higher tax brackets to the lowest incomes. So as the wealth divide deepens, so to does the tax system increasingly hit the wealthiest.
@ianinindo1 @HappyNacho73 @PeterDTAdams @AlanKohler ^^^ This.
Despite being someone who has quietly loathed the rich all my life, I think being poor alone is a largely inadequate qualification for what must be a super complicated job.
How about, instead, having a board of advisers from a range of low income constituencies?
This is a staggering statistic.
This is the sort of shit that makes you realise that capitalism really is broken and socialism really is the only solution.
The wealthiest 1% contribute more to carbon emissions than the bottom 66%, a report from Oxfam reveals.
Termed as the 'polluter elite', they are depleting the Earth's resources to a destructive extent, according to Oxfam's extensive research into climate disparity.
This 1%, numbering 77 million, encompasses billionaires, millionaires, and individuals earning over US$140,000 a year.
Remarkably, the carbon footprint of merely a dozen billionaires is comparable to the energy consumption of 2.1 million households; and in 2019, this elite group was responsible for 16% of all CO2 emissions, contributing to over a million premature deaths.

@pippaliciousj @LennaLeprena Wanna guess how much stupider that looks in Australia?
The attitude here is just sickening, and most who complain the loudest arrived on boats either directly or via their parents.
@Rebeccamom@SonOfLibertyFL@theDeepView Well I can direct you to a YouTube video where a Christian Bible thumper was trying to get ChatGPT to give Bible based parenting advice. He was so disappointed & confused when it insisted on giving sound science based child raising advice and no Bible quotes.
That what you mean?
