We show that an IGF-1 peptide acts on Rett syndrome astrocytes to degrade IGF-binding proteins, rescue synaptogenesis, and restore mitochondrial function.

For the very first time, we report the evolutionarily conserved process of miRNA autophagy in Drosophila and Human blood progenitors. The famous “p62” turns out to be a key player in directing miRNA autophagy in a Leucine-dependent manner, influencing blood cell proliferation.
